Rating
Four stars.
Normally 2 cost, but drops to 0 when any Status card is generated — a conditional high-efficiency Attack. The April 2026 patch changed the cost reduction to persist until played, removing the previous "this turn only" restriction. Now, a Status generated a turn earlier still leaves Rocket Punch at 0 cost when you draw it later, greatly improving flexibility.
Cards that generate Status include Emergency Dodge (Dizzy), Breakthrough (Wound), Sludge Toss (Slime), and Overclock (Burn). Because the cost reduction persists, you don't need Rocket Punch in hand at the moment Status appears — it stays 0 cost until you actually play it. Upgraded to Draw 2, it becomes even more consistent.
How to Use
- Build a deck with Status-generating cards so the 0-cost condition is always active
- Since the reduction persists until played, you don't need Status and Rocket Punch in the same turn
- Upgraded yields 14 damage plus Draw 2, making each 0-cost play more rewarding
- One Status generation drops every Rocket Punch in the deck to 0, so multiple copies scale well
Good Synergies
- Emergency Dodge: 0 cost, generates Dizzy. Free activation of Rocket Punch's 0-cost condition
- Overclock: 0 cost, draws 2 plus Burn. Triggers 0 cost while cycling the deck
- Breakthrough (Defect): Generates 2 Wounds, triggering the 0-cost condition while providing 13 Block
- Sludge Toss: Generates Slime to keep Rocket Punch at 0 cost
- Reflex: Draw 2 when you draw a Status. Ramps up draw when you lean into Status
